We took a smaller team this time due to the flu warnings, but everyone did quite well and as always it was a fun, although long, day. Posted May 5, 2009 --NTMMA KIDS CLASSES RESTART THURSDAY --- LISD has notified that they are re-opening schools Thursday May 7th, so are we :)   Kids and teens schedule is back to normal starting Thursday May 7th.

The Flu has caused LISD to close from Monday 4th � Friday 8th.
For safety we will follow the LISD closing for kids classes only at this time.
We will reopen on Monday May 11th.

Posted April 25th, 2009 -- The Dallas NAGA Grappling Championships www.nagafighter.com are only 2 weeks away.  Competitors please make sure you are properly registered with nagafighter.com and listed on the sheet at the school, Everyone else, be sure to come out and support the NTMMA grappling team as we head to NAGA Dallas Championships on May 9th at the Special Events Center in Garland, Texas.

Posted Dec. 17th, 2008 -- As we all know the Christmas and New Years holidays are right around the corner, but we will be open with modified hours. Joe has another professional MMA fight coming up to defend his title so come help him train and get ready. Yes, its the school holidays but we are open so there is no excuse to come get a work out in. We will be closed only on Christmas and New Years Day. The new Advanced Kids temp schedule is as follows below, and is in effect until January 4th 2009, sorry no beginner class for kids during the holidays.

Posted Dec. 9th, 2008 -- NTMMA BJJ team took 31 people to NAGA on Dec 6th and came home with 26 Firsts and Seconds!!! Some Highlights: In Kids, Truett Wood mowed through his division to get the first place sword, Marian Christopher and Ashton Epps both scored lightning quick chokes on the way to winning their respective divisions handily. In Adults, Kelly Faszholz competing in her first tournament and bringing home two swords, Josh Smith winning a tough no-Gi war to capture first, Chris Hoddy winning his Gi division, and coach Joe Christopher making a Saturday morning snap decision to go up in weight and compete in a tough triple overtime match to defeat Brazilian Black Belt Roberto Tozi (08 Pan Am Absolute Silver medalist) to win the Advanced Cruiser Division Finals.  We are asking ALL NTMMA competitors from 2008 to come to the gym this Friday night with uniforms and medals\awards\swords in hand. We plan on something special for the kids at 5:15 a big group picture at 6PM and then adults and chaperoned children are going out after BJJ class for margaritas and fajitas.

Posted Sept 15th, 2008 -- NTMMA will be in the Lewisville Western Days parade Saturday, Sept. 27, any assistance with putting the float together this coming week is appreciated.  All kids are encouraged to ride on the float in the parade.  We are looking forward to a fun day.

Posted August 23rd, 2008 --  Lots of news,  NTMMA's BJJ Team competed August 16th at the World Europa NAGA Championships held in Dallas, and again did a great job.  Josh Duty (getting bumped up a division in his very first tournament experience) and Josh Hale both took Gold in their children�s divisions to lead the strong children�s team (75% of who placed in their divisions).  Good job to every competitor.  Finally, we are in our new location and the response has been great, (we will have the new custom ring and cage up shortly).  Thank you everyone who has made this last month a big success for us and we look for big things this coming year.

Posted July 20th, 2008 -- Things are moving quickly with construction, we will be closing the Lewisville location August 14th and opening the Flower Mound location August 18th.

Posted July 14th, 2008 -- August 16th brings NAGA back to Dallas and all NTMMA BJJ team members are asked to come to as many classes as possible between now and then to make sure we have another great NAGA outing.  Signup is on the board at the gym as usual.

Posted July 12th, 2008 -- FINALLY, construction has started on the new NTMMA location in Flower Mound's Highlands Ranch Shopping Center.  We plan to have the opening in August.  Any and all help is appreciated as we get the new space ready.  The address will be 6050 Long Prairie Rd. Posted April 24th, 2008-- NTMMA is offering weekly martial arts summer camps this year, ages 5-12 welcome.  Register early to get your preferred week as we are planning to keep the class size limited to ten per week.

Posted March 1, 2008-- Kids testing was held Feb 29th.  and a wonderful effort was put in by all.  The extra work these last two weeks paid off and all 14 testers passed!!!!   thanks to everyone who came and showed their teamwork and support for these great students.  Next testing is planned for March 28th.

Posted Feb 10th, 2008-- NTMMA BJJ Team competed this past weekend at the final Machado Tournament.  Full official results are on the Machado website, here are some of the team's results:   Jared Corkran 2nd Place, Xavier Galvez 2nd Place, Marian Christopher 2nd place,  Josh Hale 2nd Place, Scott Kirby-Brown 2nd Place, Ashton Epps 3rd Place....and lots of others placed highly in their brackets as well, great job guys and girls.   Thanks to everyone to come to the Green Hills School on Feb 9th and supported the team.
